Horseback riding in Umbria is an important sector encompassing a variety of activities, from equestrian centers where horseback riding is taught to agritourisms with stables offering their guests the opportunity to use horses for excursions and trekking.

Equestrian culture in our region is highly developed, primarily due to the region’s essentially rural nature, which in the recent past saw horses as a constant presence in the daily lives of many people. Considered one of the noblest animals, they are the perfect combination of companion and farm animal, and are often used for both sporting activities (riding competitions) and recreational activities (rides).

Furthermore, Umbria, due to its strong ties to tradition and folklore, is often the stage for events, festivals, and celebrations related to historical reenactments, where horses almost always take center stage.
